Membrane Replacement & Retrofit

About us
At Enereau, our principals and technical staff bring more than 80 years of combined experience in advanced membrane technologies for water and wastewater treatment (MBR, Tertiary Filtration, etc). We have deep domain expertise with all major membrane platforms including ZeeWeed™ 500D (Suez/Zenon ZW 500D and 500S), Dow, Toray, Kubota, and others and understand their distinct performance characteristics, lifecycle, and design considerations.
Enereau is a leading North American stocking distributor of equivalent membranes (including ZW 500D) which can fit seamlessly in existing membrane cassettes. We can provide fast, local support backed by readily available inventory from our warehouse in Welland, Ontario. Whether the need is a straightforward, like-for-like membrane replacement or a retrofit and capacity upgrade, we help owners and operators select the most effective solution. With in-house technical expertise, local support, and stocked membranes, Enereau delivers reliable solutions tailored to each project.

Reinforced Hollow Fiber Membranes (MF & UF)
Reinforced Hollow Fiber Membranes are advanced filtration technologies used in microfiltration (MF) and ultrafiltration (UF) processes, designed to deliver exceptional performance in water and wastewater treatment applications. These membranes are engineered with a hollow fiber structure, allowing water to flow either from the inside-out or outside-in, depending on the specific design and application.
These membranes deliver high filtration efficiency, with MF systems capable of removing particles, sediments, and microorganisms down to 0.1 microns, while UF systems go as small as 0.01 microns.
Reinforced Hollow Fiber Membranes operate efficiently at low pressures, offering an energy-efficient and cost-effective filtration solution. They are available in a range of module sizes and configurations, ensuring scalability to meet the needs of both small-scale operations and large industrial systems.
By delivering robust performance and reliability, Reinforced Hollow Fiber Membranes help meet stringent water quality standards while reducing operational and maintenance demands.
Popular Model Types: ZeeWeed 500D (ZW500D), Mitsubishi Sterapore, etc.
Easy to install and fits any standard membrane rack
Pressurized UF
Pressurized Ultrafiltration (UF) is an advanced water treatment technology designed to provide high-efficiency filtration in a compact and versatile format. This system uses a pressurized feed water flow to pass water through ultrafiltration membranes, removing contaminants while producing a high-quality permeate suitable for various applications.
The ultrafiltration process is highly effective at removing suspended solids, turbidity, bacteria, viruses, and other particles as small as 0.01 microns. Unlike conventional filtration methods, Pressurized UF operates under low to moderate pressure, ensuring energy-efficient performance while maintaining excellent filtration results.
These systems are highly adaptable and can be integrated into a wide range of water treatment solutions.
Popular Model Types: Dow SFP (2660/2860/2880), Hydranautics (Max 60 / Max 80), ZeeWeed (ZW) 1500, Hyflux Kristal K600, Asahi-Kasei, Pall OLT, Toray HFU (2020) Series, etc.

Retrofit Solutions
When your plant maintenance requires more than just membrane replacements, our nrPUR™ MBR platform offer prefabricated filtration modules which can easily integrate into existing plants and control systems. Our flexible cassette design and high packing density allows our membrane modules to fit into all ranges of tanks, allowing existing tankage to be repurposed, reducing CAPEX requirements for plant retrofits. The nrPUR system is so flexible that even conventional treatment plants (e.g. SBR, Extended Air, etc) can easily be upgraded to MBR technology, increasing treatment capacity and improving effluent quality within the existing plant footprint.
